Nasty Bath (Set 1 of 2)
Added 2024-01-14 22:16:11 +0000 UTCI love the way this set came out, it depicts the exact vibe I wanted although I did think it would be B&W. It’s not often that colour does the job in terms of vibe unless I’m using analog. This is digital from the Z6, straight 50mm lens and a handheld desk lamp. I like the variation of desk lamps you get when you stay in different places - keeps things interesting, and challenging! They were shot between 4:02 and 5:10 am.
I had jumped on a Flix bus from Poznan to Berlin after work last Friday night, it’s less than 3 hours away. Got an Uber from the bus station to meet Aurora in what turned out to be the best area of Berlin I’ve stayed in - about 8 minutes from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to the West. We went for dinner then came back and well, partied of course, all night until 11pm the next night, including a lovely visit to good friend El’s place.
I really do love the fucked up look, it’s something I can’t get away from nor do I want to. It’s something I identify with and that resonates with me. Not everyone can do it right. I’ve seen many models try and do it and it just hasn’t worked, for me anyway. I think to be able to model this look, and to be able to shoot this look, you have to know something about what it means to be fucked up - in a certain way 😅 and my eye is tuned for a ‘particular’ fucked upness.
