Evening

This piece is called Evening. I drew two people taking a bath together in the evening, a time of transition between day and night, just before the light fades.

I think most people are familiar with the ideas of personal space, privacy, or public space. And out of all our daily routines, I feel that bathing is perhaps the most private one even more than sleeping. That’s why I chose it as a way to express something deeper.

Being able to bathe with someone feels like you’re showing every part of yourself to that person It’s about trust, comfort, and being able to truly be yourself without hiding anything. To me, that’s something incredibly special.

I also believe though I’m not sure if it’s right or not, but I’ve always believed this that every relationship we have will come to an end someday, one way or another. Whether it’s parting in life or in death, it’s something we can’t avoid.

But if at some point, we can be with someone and fully take off all our layers be 100% ourselves with them then even when the sun finally sets, and a new day begins, and it’s one where we no longer sit and have breakfast together like we used to…Yes, of course it would be sad. And I’d probably miss it deeply. But I don’t think I would ever regret having experienced it.
