Hey all,
Hope everything is funky, groovy and generally hip with you!
In case you missed it, we dropped our latest commentary, Shakedown: Return of the Sontarans, last week and also posted the early access link to this week's brand new podcast review of the Series 8 stinker, 'Into the Forest of the Night'. Hope you enjoyed them both!
We're eager to sink our teeth into more of those spin-offs - they're very endearing and throw our minds back to a simpler time when copyright laws were less aggy! So, we've lined up four prospective follow ups and we want YOU (yes you, hands off cocks and on socks!) to pick the first one we'll cast our weary eyes over.
Your contenders...
- 1. Just Who on Earth is Tom Baker? (1991) | Tom Bakerβs portrayal of Doctor Who proved to be the most successful in the BBCtv series history. Away from the cameras, Tom can be both reclusive and elusive and finding out about the man behind the myth can prove extremely difficult. Until now! In this unique production, ten years after he left the show, Tom agreed to give us his view of Tom Baker. Shot on location in and around his home and filled with Tomβs views on Doctor Who, life and (more importantly) death, it could be called an autobiography - but itβs a whole lot more than that!
- 2. Wartime (1988) | While on a seemingly routine delivery run for the Brigadier, Benton finds himself close to his childhood home, where ghosts from his past have never rested easily. Trapped in a nightmare world where past and present are one, will he be lost forever or can he fight his way back to reality, where he is desperately needed?
- 3. The Few Doctors (1997) | BBC Executives are gathered to come up with a new concept for Doctor Who on television. After the Children's and Drama departments are excluded the project falls in the hands of the BBC Sports department. The classic science fiction series is changed into a sports grudge match between all the television and movie Doctors against the classic monsters - Cybermen, Daleks, etc.
- 4. I Was A Doctor Who Monster! (1996) | A documentary spin-off from the popular BBC TV series "Doctor Who" in which actors who have played monsters & aliens on the show discuss & reminisce over their work.
