📝 RoDate! (24/03/2023)

As Billy writes this, he's just destroyed yet another cobweb set up by a tiny spider sequestered in a tree just outside his tiny NZ home. He's picking bits of desiccated fly and God-knows-what-else out of his hair and this isn't the way he wanted the first RoDate to start...

Anyway, lovely to finally get two seconds to sit down and type this message to you fab group of peeps. The move to NZ has been long and tiring but here I am! The weather is insanely nice and besides the odd mosquito bite and spider-home-headbutting-session, it's been an amazing week settling into this gorgeous country.

"BUT WHAT ABOUT RoD?!", I hear you scream from all corners of the globe. Well, as you've seen, we've been good bois and recorded a bunch of material to help the show's transition from two lads cuddled on the sofa to two lads cuddled up on Zoom (don't worry though, the podcast isn't going back to The Covid Years in terms of just showing everyone a Zoom chat output).

So newly recorded RoD content should start emerging from mid-May, but it's likely that some amount of news regarding the 60th Anniversary (and possibly Series 14) will drop before then. In which case, we'll be dropping in and recording new bits to cover that news if and when it happens. And don't forget, both Matt and Billy will be reviewing Big Finish's Once and Future series which begins in May so prepare your earholes for those.

Once we've hit a rhythm with regular episodes, we'll start branching out even further. First on our list is RoD Dwarf! We really want to bump the production quality further to accommodate the different locations, so RoD Dwarf will be a test to see what we can do with different formats on here. It's likely to be Patreon only, at least at the start!

Speaking of a bump in production quality, I'll be sharing deets and other bits from work on our new presentation package for the main podcast. We're bringing in some heavy artistic artillery to bolster the show's look, so expect some updates on the brand new RoD title sequence and graphics soon!
