Kareena is part of a breed of Pokémon known simply as Abnormals. Native to the continent of Oat, Kareena is the last known member of her breed after a horrendous spree of genocides against her people. It was from one of these pogroms that Kareena was saved by Mycaelis and Vagus when she was an infant. Quiet and coconscious, she has grown into a young adolescent with little to no understanding of her past and the culture that died along with her people.
