To each their own it seems. I tend to find Series attitude and personality quite easy to understand where I despise Ferns character completely.

2024-03-23 23:40:36 +0000 UTCI love how much you hate Serie, but I actually like that Serie doesn't like Frieren and is petty towards her. It's very human. Sometimes you just can't get along with someone. A lot of stories fall into the trap of making the characters that dislike or hate the protagonist all evil and villains, because only an evil bastard could possibly dislike their charming and lovable protagonist. One of the things that makes this series so good is how realistic the characters are, and the variety in their relationships. Some have great chemistry and get along great from the start like Denken and Laufen, or Wirbel, Scharf, and Ehre. While others struggle to get along like Frieren and Serie. Lawine and Kanne fight all the time, but are tsundere and actually like each other deep down. Fern and Stark didn't get along at the start, but they slowly grow closer together over time. There's so much depth to all their relationships where most other series have very one-note relationships.

2024-03-23 06:16:53 +0000 UTC(This is all theory) Okay, so Serie is probably from the mythical age given she knows laundry magic from the mythical age (although she could have just found and learned it later but I’m going to say she was there because I find that more interesting) and definitely older than Kraft since when Frieren mentioned the mythical age, it didn’t seem like he was around during that era. Given that Serie probably has at least 10 times more mana than Frieren she also is probably at least 10 times older, so I’m thinking probably at least around 15,000 years old.
