Probably one of my favorite episodes of S3, and definitely an underrated one. I always love it when TV shows do flashbacks to flesh out the main characters and you see their journey and how they've changed. Like you mentioned, Phoebe is probably the one that changed the most. So regarding Prue and her engagement to Roger, we actually did meet Roger in the pilot episode where she mentions that she broke off their engagement and thats why he started treating her differently and ultimately thats why she ended up quitting that job cause he was just taking credit for her work and being an as*h*le basically.
