I was watching with my friend when it first released and I swear to you he screamed and jumped so badly it looked like he slow mo levitated out of the chair and fell off it. It was the most hilarious thing. He'd been disappointed in how un scary he thought it was up until that point lol.

2024-11-12 00:40:03 +0000 UTCthe reason it's the most dangerous for steve is not because he wrote the book and the house is upset about the bad press, it's because he wouldn't accept that a ghost was a threat, he'd write it off as a hallucination or he'd mistake it for a person (like he did in his book). they don't explain it well but that's what i gleaned from it

You were so calm and so enthralled by the fight between the sisters that I was pretty sure your reaction would be extreme. At least that's the worst jump scare in the series. It's that one scene, if nothing else, that keeps me from recommending the show to my mother who is in her late 70s. She'd love the story but might not survive that scene.
