You can tell he wants friends but he doesn't know how to make friends. & Him being of high status in society doesn't make it any easier. He has such a naive aura about him as well. We have already seen how easily it is to gaslight him (ie mudeok stay selling him wolf tickets ๐๐)

Because he is someone that isn't as talkative, I think the "love triangle" serves as the most effective way to see his characters development without having to give him a bunch of backstory. Most people tend to forget that he is a stickler for the rules but he also loves & wants the best for his friends & family.

The love triangle between Naksu, Uk and Yul is not that much of a triangle if we think about it. Yul and Naksu has like a first love memories but it is very clear that she doesn't feel that way now. Seems like Yul is aware about it too. The thing about Yul that we have seen so far is, he is a mage that stick to the rules and also a loyal friend. I also love the crown price. He has a shitty master and parents but is a good guy. It is hard to hate him. Also his eyebrow is a character of its own. LOL
