DROPPING $10 TIER?
Added 2020-09-22 00:51:09 +0000 UTCI'm starting to get the ball rolling towards releasing a PLAY TEST OF MY LATEST GAME PROJECT!!! Which, as usual, will be exclusive to the "game dev" discord.
However, I'm starting to have second thoughts on the price of the $10 tier. Especially considering everyone's financial situation as of late.
I'm considering dropping the top tier to $8. This tier will give access to the game dev channels and playtesting privileges. I have to make this decision before the end of the month. Possibly by this Friday. Thoughts?

Given that vanilla games made using Honey Select charge 10 bucks a month for early access to their games and make a killing I think you're just fine to charge that much. You're providing a game with unique art assets with game mechanics catering to a fetish. 10 bucks is almost too little for the actual value of what you're providing. That said I think what really needs to happen is an explanation of what someone would be more or less paying for. Such as update frequency, expected length of time until full release (if possible), and current level of game completion. Because the only frustrating thing about spending money on early access is if you pay for effectively no content with an inconsistent release schedule.

Mainly just because of people being able to properly play test the game and give you great advice upon it. Although I don't mind paying $10 for the roll, I also think that if you want that role last much longer and be much more of use, then you might need to add maybe a little bit more incentive or options for that role to have?
