2024-12-24 01:00:12 +0000 UTCEvery one has repeated in the comments regarding Kevin leaving. My issue is that these men chose to work together for this show. You Starr something. You finish it. You don't just walk away because you couldn't agree. Get a mediator. Not lawyers. They acted like children throwing tantrums. Also this is not the John Dutton story. For those that say Kevin made the show...no he didn't. The entire cast are Yellowstone. To say that is actually saying you could care less for all the rest. I've invested my time in this, but never again will I wait a year to watch something. It just won't happen.

A guy like John would never commit suicide and it was just lazy writing obviously he didn’t do it him self but it just was dumb to do that. I don’t know the behind the scenes but it didn’t justify this. John would have went out in a blaze of fire not this. And I knew John wasn’t going to be in this season but this ruined the show for me.

We've all been waiting to see how they'd remove John off screen, so watching this was probably less shocking for all of us. It's a shame they couldn't find a way to resolve it as their frictions really seemed to taint the public image of the show. Personally, I'm okay with this exit, as for me the series is about the generational history and picking up the mantle, but that's probably influenced from having watched 1883 and 1923 s.1. so the world feels bigger to me. I do hope Jamie gets what he deserves though. Aligning with one person who unknowingly puts a hit on your family is unfortunate, but doing it twice, that's real stupidity! Plus She knows his room is bugged, so I'm sure she'll make sure he's incriminated to be the patsy.

2024-11-19 19:28:28 +0000 UTCI tend to agree with this. I've always watched more for Beth & Rip and the wider stories than just John, but I agree the fact the two couldn't come to an arrangement and more importantly let the behind the scenes issues spill in to public knowledge really annoyed me.

2024-11-15 11:05:27 +0000 UTCYou probably found out by now but basically Costner had multiple scheduling conflicts with other projects that had already affected filming in the past so they decided to part ways. Kinda weird that it happened in the middle of a season though. I would think he would be legally bound to finish the season but I don't know how that stuff works. Personally I hope they come up with something really good because honestly it doesn't feel the same to me anymore without him.

2024-11-14 22:53:14 +0000 UTCFrom what I read it was bc of scheduling conflicts and Taylor and Kevin were butting heads about it bc both of them were working on other projects. Kevin was going to do it and he kept putting off his stuff to make it work but bc Taylor is also working on several other shows things kept getting pushed back so I think Kevin decided to just not come back.

2024-11-14 22:36:20 +0000 UTCI believe it all goes back to contracts between Kevin and Taylor, Kevin had multiple projects going and was spending to much time away from Yellowstone production which was holding filming up so Taylor kept changing his contract and on the third time he done that Kevin didn’t renew it and decided to part ways, hope that’s vague enough that doesn’t spoil anything 😅
