Production update 2021-09-08

Hello everyone!

I had a pretty good week. Last time, I had been working at my girlfriend's old home, and I was hard at work on the very long, very complex cloning explanation. Well, that is now in the past!

I moved back into my office. Still no AC, but days are getting chillier and the noise from the renovations is less distracting than during the first week. I took the weekend off to go see my parents and my brother (+ my cousin who was visiting my brother). Other than that, I've been working quite well!

It's hard to find appropriate times to record, but I managed to knock some of it out today. I also finished editing the cloning explanation, and my editing pace has sped up since, to the point where it's catching up to the recording due to the limited time I can find to do that. Here's how progress looks like right now: 

This is very exciting. In the most optimal scenario, I could be done in a week from now, but in practice, it'll be a bit longer. My girlfriend's birthday is this weekend, and we'll be doing some activities, so I won't have the entire week to work like a madman.

Time for a few sneak peeks of stuff I did since the last update! First, I finished the cloning explanation:

This shows that Goomba trios have a radius to load and unload them, which is very important to consider when cloning them.

Showing that the HOLP no longer updates with the Hat in Hand glitch.

Cute little animation depicting a Goomba bridge (not gonna lie, the animation itself is pretty garbage, if I have time I might go back and smoothen it out).

Showing the exponential nature of a Goomba bridge by comparing it to counting in binary.

Showing how remote dropping works (the bob-omb is being dropped in mid-air above the HOLP).

Showing how to place an object under the star on the island without having to physically move there thanks to remote dropping.

Since I finished the cloning explanation, there hasn't been any interesting visuals to show off. The part that follows is a bit of a rapid fire of improvements that were made around that time.

So, that's it for now! I'm hoping to get to at least 75% edited by Tuesday, and possibly releasing on September 18th, or around that date. Might be a little tight, so the video could be out on a weekday this time. I'll have a better idea on Tuesday. We're almost in the home stretch now!
