Added 2023-09-19 20:26:17 +0000 UTCSorry I disappeared slightly. I moved into a new apartment AND wrote a script for the next video so I've been... occupied. I always get nervous around scriptwriting time because I tend to deal with delicate subjects, and it's like, is this the one that's going to get me in trouble? It feels like if there's one, it might be this one, because, no one wants to talk about men under patriarchy. Not in a "boo hoo who will think of the poor men" way, but, well, feminists are rightly concerned with women/non-men's issues, and men tend to be totally averse to anything approaching a feminist analysis. So it's like... who the hell am I making this for? Hopefully there's something people can take away from the new video.
I've also not forgotten my prior comments about making another Patreon exclusive. Now that I'm all settled in I feel like maybe a Heartstopper, RW&RB, Life Update, etc. short video is in order. Though, I'm not sure I have a whole lot to say about aforementioned media as much as I did Good Omens (;-;) or Barbie. Let's see!
I'm contractually obligated by my sponsor to post a video by October 15th so something will be out on the main channel by then :-)

2023-09-30 03:31:29 +0000 UTCso good to hear from you! hoping you’re enjoying your new place:) as a radical feminist (inspiring scholar) i personally pay little attention to men under the patriarchy, because my main critique is that patriarchy works by claiming men’s epistemology is an ontology, and we have to speak up about women’s epistemology to challenge the power dynamics (yes i mainly study MacKinnon’s theory). feminism, for me, is for and from women, there’s no need to find place for men in feminism. but i’m really excited to see what you have in store for us, i’ve always appreciated how you combine pop culture with academic studies, and that’s why i hope to do one day (but by writing, not making videos lol) i hope this comment doesn’t come across as self-entitling, i’m just curious about how you’re approaching you’re new subject! xoxo
