Remnant: From The Ashes is a game I do not understand the love for. At best it's pedestrian, drab, and repetitive. At worst it's a pissin' nightmare.

This game has some incredible flashes of brilliance, but the Boss Fights are just so very awful.

Most of your criticisms seemed to be based on the first few hours. Honestly, it's not up to the consumer to "stick it out" with a game—developers should make it enthralling from the get go, so I understand your perspective. I do really like this game though, I'm having a blast, flaws aside.

It looks very, how do I put this, <i>actively</i> and <i>deliberately</i> average. It never ceases to amaze me how various forms media outlets can create fantasy and science-fiction worlds that are utterly uninspiring and devoid of personality.
