Lapis x Labyrinth - Big Money, Big Prizes, I Love It! (Jimpressions)

Lapis x Labyrinth is a sheer joy to play. Rarely does one find a game so hellbent on encouraging and rewarding the player with endlessly positive audiovisual feedback.

All the thrill of a casino with none of the evil, this NIS hackyslashy fun fest is well worth checking out.

Just Picked the game up love it so far Thanks for the recommendation & Positive Video.

It's nice to see there are, in fact, good games out there. And hey, from the guys who did Disgaea?! I'm on board with this!

<i>"Arse-achingly precious jewels."</i> - <b>Jim Skulling (2019)</b> I do like the stackable tag-team vibe this game is going for. I also don't think I've seen a recent commercial title that has such as unashamed arcade look and feel. It's been a while since we've seen one, right? I'll admit I've not been looking all that hard.

What is this sense of Pride and Accomplishment that doesn't involve a loot box?

Disgaea is SO good about that, yes. EVERYTHING has exp and levels in those games. Not just each character; each time a character uses a skill, that skill gains exp and can level up. Your consumable items can gain exp and level up. Your equipment can gain exp and level up. And the level cap is 9,999!! Endless replayability. And the maps can have various gimmicks and puzzles to solve while battling with all kinds of different effects -- it's just such a good series that I could play those games forever. Love Disgaea. &lt;3

This game looks adorable. It looks like it would be perfect for handheld Switch, but I don't have one. I might get it on PS4, though.

Right? Exactly what I was thinking. ๐Ÿ˜† (Well, close enough to 2 in a row. Sonic racing was in the middle there but even that one wasn't awful. My god there were almost 3 positive Jimpressions in a row. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ)

Is this the second happy Jimpression in a row? What is gaming coming to...

This makes me super wish Jim had played Disgaea (the PC version is rather cheap and a delight to play) and Disgaea 5 just came out (each game is self contained so there's no barrier to entry)

This satisfying (reward you for everything) loop is why Nippon/Nisa is probably my favorite developer. Disgaea 5 was so fun, and they just consistantly want to make you feel good for playing. Wanna grind? Grind some levels in this weapon world ... every floor you beat makes the weapon stronger and you get great gear. Nisa has its shit together
