I just ordered my copy of Yakuza 0. I've been thinking about getting in on this series for a while and this video pushed me over the top.

2018-03-08 06:44:50 +0000 UTCI'd played the PS2 Yakuzas back in the day and liked them, then forgot about them. Then like you got into Zero and Kiwami and now I'm itching to play the whole series, ideally continuing with Kiwami 2. I just hope it even gets a western release, there's been no announcement yet and I have no idea how well the previous games sold, critical acclaim or no. With luck we'll get it around winter this year, then all the mainline games will be playable on ps3 or ps4 with modern gameplay.

2018-03-06 02:20:47 +0000 UTCI just played Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. I know... years and years late. It has this same kinda setup. Small open world, lots of well written content and memorable characters. I enjoyed playing this old game more than most recent Bioware games. As a complete side note: Jim, can I group with you in Warframe sometime?

After Yakuza 0 and Kiwami's announcement, I waited for Kiwami, played it, and then played through my big stack of Yakuza games, which I'd kept buying but not playing. So I played 0, and then later Kiwami, 3, 4, 5 and Dead Souls all in a row, and never got bored with Kamurocho. Seeing the gate in the 6 demo put a big smile on my face. Even though I played over 300 hours of Yakuza last year, I can't wait for April. These are damned good games.
