I was trying to come up with a clever joke about Cuphead gamers sympathizing with non-gamers trying to play Cuphead being frustrated with easy mode cutting features out because they obviously can't find their browser's spell-check features, but then "ROYCETON! RUB! MY NIPPLAYS!" started blaring and I was cackling too hard to finish.

This, to me, is the same viewpoint the "hardcore" crowd seem to have; that the value of the gaming community isn't in its diversity, whether that be of skill or any other element, but in its exclusivity, and that only by excluding others can they somehow prove that what they have is worthwhile. It's pretty darn sad.
