Even if he likes Maggie, Malik's goal is pretty transparently Fin, yeah.

2025-02-24 18:36:06 +0000 UTCAw I would have loved to see how the threeway relationship would work. Especially sine if i recall correctly, Malik expressed he wanted to have Fin that way

2025-02-24 12:58:49 +0000 UTCOh yeah, my two cents is Malik sure is a nice guy :^) What a pal offering to help Fin out. Maybe Fin can get over Maggie and meet a nice elf girl when he gets home.
AAAAA
2025-02-19 23:29:08 +0000 UTCThanks I'm that more happy with the open NTR then, as I'm personally quite fed up with either gay or feminizing interactions, which would then be the foreseeable future.

2025-02-15 19:10:48 +0000 UTCHere comes the big post =) Sorry Winter, couldn't wait for your answer ^^' Pfiuu, we’re back on track, finally on the road out of the pit we were just in. Being proactive was the answer after all, now Fin is back to being the hero in the primary sense of the term, making decisive choices in the face of adversity. And this is just the kind of open hearted talk I was hoping to see. I would tend to agree with Malik on the state of Fin & Maggie’s relationship. There is a kind of childish candor in their feelings, which makes them beautiful and somewhat hollow at the same time. Maggie is the first woman Fin really interacted with, and he went to great lengths to ensure her survival. They grew close from these ordeals, but is it “love” per se ? Or the kind of interested feelings that could easily disguise themselves as such ? Like being dependable and supportive… In my honest opinion, this is why there is such a rate of disgruntled divorces in our own world, so I’m far from against finding a way to make it work or break right about now. And Malik playing with an open hand is what manages to make the situation work for me. My own personal goal here would be for Fin to be absolutely proactive in his agenda, even if it changes from his experiences. And there are a lot of versions of him available to us right now that tick that box. I think the “misery seeker cuck” trope is way overdone in the media, so I’m quite firmly against it. However, I can foresee a deliciously intricate path that I like very much. In a few words, for Malik to turn Fin into his pupil, while keeping Fin’s own free will & personality intact. From the OG universe, Malik strikes me as wanting for the world to change. And so he maximizes his impact on the world as much as he can, and that comes through ruthless calculation. But his strategic mind easily rivaling that of immortal beings like Coda, he also knows that his life will end and that he most likely won’t make it to his desired finish line. And as such, he tries to gather as much means for the change he wants around him, and even continue it when he’ll be gone. I think this is why he went after Fin in the OG Quest, even if that attempt was a bit half-hearted. As such, it would make absolute sense that Malik tries to make Fin into such a tool. Doubly so as Fin’s unique nature, while not strictly confirmed, can be felt. I’d bet that Fin is the worthiest prize Malik could take back from the layers. But there is one thing we haven’t seen yet from him that is there that would prevent Fin from being turned into “Malik Jr”. Fin is a Vara, and from what Fiona showed us, they aren’t teethless in matters of domination & corruption. I don’t see Fin use (most likely on instinct) the most heavy handed version of that, but I can foresee him being influenced into becoming some sort of “benevolent dictator”. This would express itself at first through Malik’s group, as we have seen he has people wholeheartedly devoted for somewhat wrong reasons. And in wanting to do “justice” Fin might have to forcefully pry them away from Malik and establish himself as the better choice. Pretty much as Serane as already been converted, but most likely in a more “intimate” manner. As a bonus, this would also align Fin much more to Dryda, who I feel isn’t strictly evil, but more Machiavellian in her way of thinking (the end justifies the means). Also similar to Malik in that regard. Paradoxically, I think that all this would earn Malik’s respect instead of ire. We could have a strange but absolutely enjoyable situation where both men are stealing each other’s conquests like dogs chasing each other’s trail. And from this game, an equal relationship could be constructed between Malik & Fin, the former honestly mentoring the latter while transmitting his core values to ensure that Fin walks toward the same goal, even if his way there won’t be the same. And I feel this can be achieved through the testing (open NTR) route that we’re most likely going on. I have very little hope that Maggie will be able to resist for ten whole days, but as long as Fin doesn't shut off the rest of the group, I think it can turn out fine. The frustration from not being at Malik’s level will brew inside Fin, and if anyone actively tries to hinder his effort in getting Maggie, this might trigger the “Vara resurgence” I’m hoping for.

2025-02-15 18:32:54 +0000 UTCI've got a question regarding the "ménage à trois" (three way) option. As I understand, Malik would insert himself into the relationship, but what would be the intended interactions between Fin & him ? As he puts it, being in the center, would they interact sexually ? Or would Maggie be the actual center that both gravitate around ? And is the third option the "try to do as if things never happened" that Fin dropped ? I know there's little impact that this questions have, with the way the vote is going, but I still want to vote honest. And I'll make a full post once I have those answers as well ;-)

2025-02-15 01:48:52 +0000 UTCif Malik is focused on this It will distract him away from his other women. Giving them time to escape. His influence. and Imagine if Fin and Maggie successfully get back together, only for Maggie to immediately get impaled by spider leg. lol
