HELLO

No jokes in this newsletter. I don't do that. I wanted to say that first because this newsletter has some stuff in it! Exciting! But also changes, so please read.

I've had a chance to look at the Patreon survey in detail. Based on the findings I've decided to make a couple tweaks to how things roll out on Patreon. Most of them are minor, and all of them are in effort to make things run more smoothly for all of us.

Monthly wallpapers now released with newsletter
I'll still be doing monthly pinup wallpapers based on a poll performed the previous month, but to consolidate posts and match things up by month, starting NOW, I will be attaching the monthly calendar wallpapers to the monthly newsletter. 

Chapter credits process change starting June 1, 2021
Beginning June 1, 2021, I will be changing to an OPT-IN BY CHAPTER process for the thank you credits. This is for a couple reasons: (1) I'm running out of space on the credits page; (2) Patreon does not make the reporting easy for me; (3) I'm concerned that some people do not realize their name is getting printed on the thank you credits page even though it's explicitly a part of the perks they're receiving by subscribing to Patreon; (4) because of 3 I try to make the names on the credit page somewhat anonymous and I never know if I'm abbreviating peoples names properly; and finally (5) many people showed on the survey that they don't really care about their thank you credit, so it's a bunch of additional work on my end for something that some people don't even want.

So, beginning June 1, for each chapter I will be asking Patrons to fill out a brief form if they would like to be included on the credits page. And then, based on the space allowed, I will randomly select from those who fill out the form for the chapter.  This will allow you to opt in, give me EXACTLY the name you would like to appear on the chapter, and also give folks who want the credit a greater opportunity to have their credit appear since people who don't care about it won't be entering the pool. 

The credit opt-in form will be open for the entire time that I am working on the chapter it pertains to, so on average two months. 

New Patreon goal introduced: STICKER TIER & SHIRT SHOP
Yes. It's true. By popular demand, I am working on getting a physical merchandise situation up and running. This includes:

• A new Patreon tier with a monthly sticker mailed to you 
• A physical merchandise shop (currently shirts/apparel only)

I've set this as a $1000/month Patreon goal to help me prep and get everything up and running. More information as we get closer to it. In the meantime, if this is something you really want, now is the time to convince your friends to subscribe, or increase your monthly pledge. 

Or just it tight and wait. This is a perk I'm trying to introduce for you because you've asked for it :)

Oh yeah. Familiar status!
Familiar is back as of March 31 with 09 WICK, and I'm on schedule with 10 FOUR and 2X PLEASE through the spring/summer. I'll be beginning thumbnails for 11 SWITCH this weekend :) Stay tuned for those WIPs and so on as I get back into gear with comic production.

Also a website update
Man, there's just so much going on. I'm also working on a redesign of the Familiar website, combining the homepage with the chapter list so everything is in one place. But with filters and sorting, now that we have so many chapters. If you're interested in being part of a small focus group that will have access to test-drive the new site, please DM me here or on Discord.
