Hair practice - Faber, info dump, other things too

I've learned a new method for making hair, used by Ida Faber (really popular 3D character artist).

I went back to using Maya for card placement, because Blender makes me lazy and the effect is not that good, since there is often not enough control over the cards. For comparison, I'm not really happy with my Yeri hair done in Blender:

The new hair looks much cleaner.

Also I wanted to flex with my new textures made with Fibershop (a nice quick tool for hair textures). They are sooo clean and shiny, I'm amazed. Just look:

I'm still waiting for a possibility to add my hairstyles to Baldur's Gate 3 with physics. Adding them without physics would feel incomplete like I wasn't trying hard enough. That also made me wait with porting them to Skyrim and Cyberpunk for some reason. Well, I will just do that when I have some time.

So far, the finished hairstyles are:

1. Maya braids

2. Maya long straight hair

3. Maya ponytail

4. Maya braided ponytail

5. Blender Dae hair

6. Maya Faber hair

I think I might be finishing more Maya projects than Blender projects...

These hairstyles will be ported to Skyrim and Cyberpunk, and maybe to BG3 without physics (maybe).

I won't be porting Yeri because I'm not happy with it.

If you have any comments, let me know ~

That Maya hair would look good on Vilja. A holistic set of hairstyles.

Looks great! Can't wait to see them in Skyrim and BG3
