Hey hey people, MateDolce here.
Sorry for the poor quality of the gif, you can see it in better quality in Discord or by downloading the attachment of this post.
I'm just posting this to let people know that I'm done with all of Ruri's animations. This doesn't mean I've mastered Spine2d, of course, but at least now I know I can work with it.
There are still things I have to learn (like making objects look 3D), and things I can't do due to the limitations of the program (like casting shadows on moving objects), but overall, I'm going to stick with this program. The setup takes longer, but for subsequent animations, it is faster, so it is an improvement for future updates.
Since the program is more powerful and I can animate more easily, you may notice some excess motion... I will try to be more subtle in the next ones.
This had me really worried, I was afraid of getting stuck in the coding and having to change this part... even though I had the tutorial for what I wanted to do, things could go wrong.
And they did go wrong, the code just didn't work.... Fortunately, my guardian angel Yandev blessed me with visions of how to solve it. I honestly can't believe I got it to work.... and the GUI looks just like I wanted it to! Truly amazing. After release, please don't look at the code to see how I did it, it's embarrassing.
That's it for now, whether I was going to be able to animate and code that scene had me super worried, but now, all there is to do is work, so I'm back to it. I have an exam on May 8, so I might be quiet until I'm done with that, but I'm still working on the game though, so don't worry.
Bye!
