Your Reminder.

We all love to take in all sorts of external statements as true when it comes to subliminals, manifesting and even the law of assumption itself; but we must always take a step back and go back to the basics. All of this knowledge is heavily supported by science and very basic psychology, it is nothing out of this world, and its nature in itself is the reason why manifestation is not talked about or even taken seriously. This might sound a bit confusing, but we will be diving deeper into all of that! If you have read my previous articles, you probably already know what I am trying to convey here; we are all conditioned to reject easy solutions.
Manifesting can be challenging, yes, but it does not require hard work or action, it is more of a surmountable inner battle. It does sound easy, until you actually try to change years of internalized beliefs, sayings and assumptions that directly oppose your desires.
When you decide to start listening to a subliminal with the final goal being getting your ideal results, your thoughts should align with the benefits/affirmations of the audio. What the subliminal does is send direct messages to the subconscious mind, without having your conscious mind/dominant thoughts jump on the occasion to immediately deny the statements the subliminal is trying to pass on to the subconscious.
That being said, you are still aware of the content of the audio, its benefits and the potential results that come with listening to it; so your mind can absolutely form thoughts that literally oppose the benefits. When you listen to subliminals, like I said, the aim is to bypass the conscious mind for the subconscious to process the subliminal’s affirmations; if you consciously form thoughts that are unfavorable, what is the point of using the subliminal?
The entire point is to reprogram the mind in a way that will cause you to inevitably experience your desires, shaping your subconscious mind and thoughts in the process ; How can that happen if you actively affirm the opposite of what you want to experience? (Ex ; Listening to a money subliminal and thinking thoughts such as “I’m so broke.” “I need to make more money.” “I wish I had more money.”, etc.) Do you not think that your dominant and conscious thoughts are also passed on to the subconscious? It all turns into a very tricky inner battle that doesn’t make much sense, why would you SAY and CONSCIOUSLY THINK that you do not have what you want while using a subliminal that claims you already HAVE what you want with the aim to change your mindset and your experiences in the process?
You either have it, or you don’t. The truth is that we have a negativity bias that strongly encourages us to think unfavorable thoughts, sometimes supported by experiences created by past assumptions and heavily internalized patterns. It is natural to instinctively reject positive affirmations. If you have been thinking the same thoughts in a loop, more specifically about insecurities that you have shaped your entire identity around, it is normal for you to reject anything that would suggest the opposite of what you believe to be your current reality.
The reason why we call unfavorable circumstances the “old story” is because you are supposed to make a fixed and final decision when it comes to your state regarding your results. You either affirm/state that you have what you want and LET GO of the old story/unfavorable circumstances, or you simply allow yourself to stay on autopilot, causing you to experience the same reality/scenarios over and over again. The reason why you see patterns when it comes to circumstances is because that is what you believe to be your current, set reality; reflected by your dominant thoughts that constantly support your unfavorable circumstances.
Your “new story” would be what would come out of you making the decision to state/think that you have what you want whenever the thought of your desires come to mind instead of affirming that you do not have your desires. The inevitable outcome of you sticking to your new story/favorable thoughts and affirmations would be you experiencing/getting your desires.
When we talk about forming thoughts and focusing on certain desires in a way that affirms that they belong to us, we go against what we would usually think about, however, if we persist regardless ; we will inevitably see what we keep affirming that we are seeing. The scientific explanation behind this phenomenon is super simple, forming new thoughts and persisting in them implies that there is focus (Creating neural pathways, focusing and giving importance to certain thoughts/assumptions because of the reticular activating system and its ability to filter thoughts/data in a way that pushes forward thoughts/assumptions you would deem to be important.), when you focus on something it is always considered to be important internally; and whatever you focus on is passed on to the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind shows you whatever you focus on, causing you to experience realities that reflect your dominant thoughts.
If you use this knowledge to your advantage, you know that you end up seeing what you focus on. If you use subliminals, just align your dominant thoughts with the affirmations in the audio! If you’re listening to a “clear skin” subliminal for example, instead of affirming that your skin is breaking out, affirm that you HAVE clear skin, just like the subliminal is doing. There is no point in opposing change consciously while attempting to flip your entire mindset. If you do not use subliminals, which is completely fine as they are not necessary when it comes to manifesting; just align your thoughts with the desired outcome. You will inevitably feel the urge to go against what you affirm, as your recurring and unfavorable thoughts will resurface due to the mind’s negativity bias AND its natural inclination towards whatever is consistent, which would be your unfavorable thoughts within this context. This is why it is advised to persist, meaning you KEEP affirming that you have your desires no matter what unfavorable thoughts resurface; the brain favors consistency, if you keep affirming, it will become your natural train of thought, reshaping your mindset and causing you to have dominant thoughts that align with your desired results.
I believe this is a needed reminder, just so you can get a clearer understanding as to why things can be challenging and why it is normal when you start affirming your desires/listening to subliminals!
