One interesting thing to note is that only people's perception of the year has been changed. So they've been aging normally as well. Both their experiences throughout the years and their mental aging has continued. So all the main characters are like 20 years old right now, but they still reference themselves as being 16. lol EDIT: That's why there's been so much character progression with a lot of characters in such a "Short amount of time". Like Kongou becoming a good enough student since the early episodes to be considered for Tokyo University.
