I'm just noticing it through repeated viewings, but if Mana Matter is Mana's physical form, than it should probably bare the color of user's Mana. So unless the animators are being lazy about how they animate Mana Matter, the fact that Luto's Mana Matter is the same color as Makoto might imply that Makoto's Mana is also gold. Meaning that there are now three individuals with gold colored Mana; The Goddess, Luto, and now Makoto. But this is just me making assumptions.

An avenue they can push for a more intimate connection, as they are floating around in the position within the family; child, siblings, lover, etc.
