Damn I think there was a little mistranslation at the end there. 26:20, "if you were to break down, that'd be all there was to it" is wrong. In most versions of this episode I've seen, Yukino actually says "if this is all it takes to tear us apart, then were we even close in the first place?" Yukino basically, without even realizing it, spits the exact same phrase Hachiman said to Hayato in episode 2 about his clique of friends right back at him.. which is why his facial expression twitched like that. Once again one of Hachiman's previous edgy quotations about relationships being used against him. Again, showing his hypocrisy.
