CONTRAST
It’s too easy to make young, redheaded model Zoe appear soft and delicate. I’ve never been a huge fan of wearing black wardrobe in my images, but on her insistence, I relented. Last time we shot at my little make-shift living room studio, she pulled out the black things she had brought and I finally let her choose whatever she wanted. Thankfully it turned out well, adding a nice contrast to her pale skin in my dramatic lighting set-up.
I wouldn’t say these are the most remarkable images ever, but they are a simple exercise in lighting and mood. Her adorable out takes and silly faces also contrast nicely with her often faux-serious and dark moods.
