Erika in the Sand, Pt. 10

We talked for almost half an hour, her nude in the sand, me camera in hand, and had the kind of honest, frank conversation that only true honesty and vulnerability can provide. Over the course of the talk we laughed and cried and she hugged me several times.
This might all sound weird to the outside observer, but it's true. And I have had this kind of experience often with the women I've shot. I genuinely care about the people I work with, and they often become dear, close friends to me.
Erika specifically has a soft spot in my heart. She's just a good, sweet kid, and I can't say enough nice things about her. I view her in many ways like a little sister, someone I truly care about and wish only great things for. She's come to me about her issues with her long time boyfriend, her family, her creative questions, and has even become my hair stylist in the last few months.
