Nobody is born and raised a Friend. The Public Universal Friends do not have tribal ties, so we do not raise children. This would be a violation of our code in all but the most dire circumstances. In a situation where a Friend did need to raise a child (if, for example, there was nobody else to do it in an isolated location, and the child required care), that child would be forbidden from ever becoming a Friend. This is a serious, lifelong commitment, and there can be absolutely no chance of coercion, even unintentional coercion, before somebody is admitted.
This body was raised in Arborea Pacifica, and discovered the Friends during its coming-of-age exile. It was far too young to be admitted at the time, obviously, but petitioned for admittance at a later date.
Why was your international clearance suspended? If you would prefer not to say, at least tell me this: did it happen in Texas?
This Friend lost its international clearance when it was caught attempting to smuggle refugees across the Japanese border.
Did you convert to PUFism (sorry don’t know the terminology) with friends or did something else inspire you?
Friends do not have friends. Anyone who would ask admittance as a group would be immediately rejected. It betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of our duties and indicates the sort of person who would not do well as one of us. Admittance is irreversible; the Friends are very, very careful about it.

The soda would probably be faster. So that one.
