Given the feedback from the first poll and how both options as they stand are currently close enough in totals to not give the clearest answer I'm releasing this updated poll giving a third middle of the road option.
Of course feel free to comment if there are further options you think should be considered.

If time skip wins, I at least want to know what happens in years 2 and 3. Just because the original stuff isn't as relevant, I still want to know how the relationships between the various characters develop.

2025-10-30 16:49:58 +0000 UTCI think keeping year 2 is important, but now most of the events from PoA can no longer happen. Although showing some scenes like elective subjects and hogsmeade dates with Iris or Lyra could be fun. Also, it could be interesting to make Lupin teach a year early instead of Lockhart and show his dynamic with Ares and Iris and involvement with Basilisk attacks. So a partial skip is probably the best choice.
