January Theme + Next Comic

Hey guys, so there's only one page left to go in Rise of Chet, which means a new weekly comic is on the horizon! I thought I should give you all the breakdown on what's happening next:

First of all, I'll be taking at least one week off after Rise of Chet ends to work on the new comic. I say "at least" because I MAY need two weeks, but probably not. I'll let you all know how things are progressing and whether or not a second week of preparation is required by the end of the first week. I think it took two weeks to get Rise of Chet going but a big part of that was the large cast and the fact that I had to set up a new Tumblr for it.

The new comic is going to star the characters from my first furry webcomic: The Secret Lives of Flowers. Probably most of you are familiar with Tragia already.

Yeah, that's him. Well it's gonna be him and two other guys having a hot tub party that gets really gay really quickly. I need to update the designs of Skids and Brooks, which is part of why I need that week to prepare, but I'll be posting their new references once I have them solidified. I intend for this comic to be a lot shorter than Rise of Chet was. In a way it's a filler comic while I finish writing the comic for Wilson (the Brogulls' dad) which is my next long-term project. I'm also going to use it to experiment with paneling, which is something I've never put much effort into up until now. Don't let the term "filler" lower your expectations, I intend to make this one just as good as my previous comics if not better, and I've actually had the script for this one written since before I started on Brogulls. It'll be good and raunchy, it just might be shorter than usual and looks a little different (but in a good way!).

Now that I've said all that, what's the reward theme for January? Well, I WAS going to do a poll and have Smash Bros. be on there, but since I'm probably only doing three updates this month I think I want to save that for next month when I'll be able to do all the characters I wanted. Instead I'm going to do a "grab bag" type of deal, no set theme but just a few things I've been wanting to draw, i.e. a Crash and Crunch pic, a Demon's Crest pic, and then I think a Brogulls thing because it's been a while since I've drawn them. I used to do grab bag themes a long time ago, which I'm sure some of you will recall, it's just been a while.

So yeah, this is going to be sort of a transitional month. Naturally you will only be charged for weeks when there's a comic page, so assuming there are only two updates this month you will only be charged for those two. I hope you'll all stick with me, I've got plenty of ambitious plans for 2019! Thank you for reading all of that. If you have questions I'll be happy to answer them.
