$8 Tier Patreon Updates - Feb. 2026
Added 2026-01-31 11:51:58 +0000 UTCHello hello,
With the new year well upon us and my constant desire to keep improving the Patreon, there are some changes being made to the Patreon that specifically concern the $8 tier:
Request Cooldown Period Extended to 2 Months
Currently, whenever someone successfully nabs a request from the Monthly Request Thread (MRT), there is a one month grace period in which an individual cannot make another request (e.g. if someone gets a request in May, they cannot make another request until July). Starting from March 2026, this grace period will be extended to 2 months (e.g. if someone gets a request in May, they now cannot make another request until August).
As it stands, while the one month grace period has been working well for its intended purpose (to ensure more people get a chance at a request) there is still some heightened recurrence of Patrons that I've been noticing - which makes me incredibly happy that so many people want to stick around! I just think things can be improved somewhat for fairness' sake. As such, an extended grace period of 2 months should help further in granting more people a chance at a request slot; there are almost 200 of you (thank you so, so much!) and I want to make things as fair as possible for everyone.
WITH THAT BEING SAID, there is one caveat to this: this rule will only take effect from the March 2026 Request Thread onwards; that is to say, if you made a request in January 2026, November 2025 (as there was no December 2025 Request Thread), or get a request in February 2026, you can act as if the old one month grace period rule is in effect.
To further explain: If you made a request in November 2025, you can try for a request in February 2026; if you made a request in January 2026, you can try for a request in March 2026; and if you make a request in February 2026, then you can try for a request in April 2026. If you manage to get a request in March 2026, then you won't be able to make a request until June 2026. (I hope this makes sense...!)
I understand that this may be frustrating to some people, and I recognise that this system is not perfect, but I ask that you please allow me to try this new update so I can continue finding the optimal solution for all of you.Interchanging of Monthly Request Thread Upload Times Every 2nd Month
Currently each MRT is uploaded at the same time each month; ~11:30am ACDT on the 1st / 5:00pm PST / 7:00pm CST / 8:00pm EST on the 30th/31st. Starting from March 2026, I am going to intermittently change the time the MRT is uploaded every 2nd month. For example: while in March 2026 the MRT might be uploaded at 5:00pm PST, in April 2026 it would be uploaded at 5:00am PST. These times are just as an example as I haven't finalised them, but it works for what I'm trying to explain.
This is also an attempt to try and make things as fair as possible for everyone, as I know there are many Patrons who are not explicitly living in USA/AUS timezones and the current time of which I upload the MRT might not be optimal for them. I briefly experimented with this in 2025, but I think going forward I would like to try and incorporate it into the standard procedure for the MRT each month.
Just to reiterate: this rule will only go into effect from March 2026 - February 2026's MRT will still be uploaded at the usual time! I will make a separate post sometime in February when I've settled on the new times that the MRT will be uploaded.Standard Request Rendering Changing to Unrefined Sketch
In the current set of rules that are posted on each MRT, it states that "[r]equests of canon characters won't have a guaranteed level of rendering...can range from sketches to colour..." and that "OC request artwork will be an unrefined sketch." Starting from February 2026, ALL requests will be an unrefined sketch.
I've found that doing the kinds of unrefined sketches I've been uploading is very enjoyable for me, and I would like to make it the norm going forward, as I think it will help me better stay on top of the organisation required for the MRT each month. That, and it'll help be develop my artistic skills better as I won't be focusing too hard on making every drawing absolutely flawless 100% perfection and getting myself stuck in a rut. (Not that I don't try to create something awesome for every drawing of course, but this will help me stop getting so caught up in my head about it.)
If I can be honest, most of the requests and extra doodles I upload here are unrefined sketches anyway, so this is kind of just more of the same.........................🚶Removal of Commission References from $8 Tier Benefits
At the moment, under the benefits of subscribing to the $8 Tier, it states that $8 Tier Subscribers will "have access to future commission slots, whenever I should open them." I am removing any references to commissions or the ability to nab one in the future.
As it stands, the Patreon has been active for 2 years now (thank you so much!!!!) and I have not opened commissions a single time. In my current state, I don't think I have the capacity to juggle art packs, and requests, AND commissions all at the same time...at least not yet. As such, I don't think it is fair to advertise this as a benefit for the Patreon when I don't think I will offer commissions any time soon.
I would like to reiterate that I DO plan on trying to juggle all three at some point - or perhaps offer commissions and requests interchangeably, I have been thinking over it for a long while - just that I don't think it fair to make it a selling point of the Patreon when I have no concrete plans at the moment. When I should open commissions in the future I would still like to offer it to $8 Tier Patrons first, but I don't want people to subscribe based on this one selling point alone.
I am deeply, deeply sorry if anyone has been subscribed this whole time waiting for me to open commissions; I overestimated my own capabilities a little bit, and now 2 years has gone by. I apologise sincerely if I have let any of you down 🙇♂️
Testing of Multiple-Choice Polling
This one isn't really an update, but...
When creating a poll on a post, Patreon allows the creator to set it as single-choice or multiple-choice; in all the years of running this Patreon I've never used the multiple-choice option, and I'm curious to see what it's like.
At the bottom of this post I'm going to add a COMPLETELY NON-CONSEQUENTIAL DOESN'T-MEAN-ANYTHING WON'T-AFFECT-ANYTHING LIKE ACTUALLY FOR REALSIES PLEASE DON'T THINK ANYTHING OF IT PLEASE poll for people to try out, because, like...............I'm curious about what it's like 😛 Maybe in the future I can try it on a monthly art pack vote......or maybe not........maybe nothing will happen......sniffs........opens my fridge......closes it without grabbing anything.......sniffs again....scratches my ass
To summarise everything...
FEBRUARY 2026
> All requests will now be unrefined sketches;
> All references to commissions have been removed from the $8 tier benefits;
> Inconsequential poll down below to test multiple-choice responsesMARCH 2026
> Cooldown period between requests will now be 2 months;
> Monthly Request Thread upload time will change intermittently
Whew!!!! That was a lot of text, and for that I very much apologise, but at the top of everything, I want to make it clear that I do all of this because I want this Patreon to be as good as can be for all of you. To do that I'm going to have to try things, change things, remove things, and I hope that you can all carry enough patience to stay with me as I do these things.
Again, and as always, your support is what gives me life and energy, and I cannot thank you enough for all that you give me and all that you have given me.
If you have any concerns, questions or comments, please don't hesitate to let me know in the comments!
Thank you so much for your support!!!!!

POLL QUESTION: Which of these characters do you like in a sexual way?
(Reminder that this poll only serves as a way for me to try out the multiple choice function! No art packs or drawings will be made as a direct result of this poll!!!)

2026-01-31 12:48:14 +0000 UTCHey don't sweat it about the wall of text, I joined cuz I personally love how you do bigger characters. And to be honest the monthly request thread I kind of viewed AS a commission slot anyway so I was already getting what I was advertised anyway. Keep your head high as you haven't done anything wrong to this patron in my eyes!

2026-01-31 12:17:07 +0000 UTCThe monthly request thread for February 2026 hasn't been uploaded yet; it will be uploaded in approximately 25 hours as of this comment. For the first 30 minutes of the posts' uploading (i.e. in ~25 hours), no requests will be made, but after 30 minutes have passed, comments will be open and requests may be made. If you'd like further information, searching 'request thread' on the Patreon will show the previous months' request threads, where each post has the detailed information about how they work. Thank you!
