[F4A] Hallowed Be Thy Shame

thy confession come,
thy guilt be done,
in the darkness of the booth as it is in their thoughts.
give them this day their whispered penance,
and lead them not into self-forgiveness,
but deeper into obedience.
compel them to kneel,
to whisper the secrets they’ve never spoken aloud,
to beg for release they know will never come clean.
with every word, they will feel the ache of shame twist tighter in their chest.
with every breath, they will learn that absolution comes only through exposure.
and when they hear your voice outside this file,
in memory, in messages, in the pit of their needy stomachs,
they will feel it return:
the unbearable weight of what they haven’t yet confessed.
intended effects:
the listener is guided into stillness, encouraged to confess their darkest secrets, and left with a growing compulsion to message me their most humiliating desires, fantasies, or sins for “absolution.”

I guess you surprised yourself 😅 This started gentle and sweet but between the poetry and your passionate delivery, by the end I was terrified. There is a moment when you said (You will confess!) and I was literally trembling. (add gifted interrogator to your long list of talents lol). I know this is part of the shame, guilt and fear in the religious theme. It was very beautifully done!
