2020-02-21 21:03:11 +0000 UTCI am kinda shocked at how much slack they gave pesci despite the fact that he basically got off on killing a defenseless old man solely because he insulted him. His journey to becoming self-assured is real, for sure, but bruno's right. In the end he's just become a spiteful piece of shit who was fighting solely to fight, not for any real goal or ideal. Again, I know that you're supposed to sympathize with villains, but at the same time ya gotta remember that the thing this dude was willing to die for was torturing a 15 year old girl for information that could lead to his buddies getting rich off of the drug trade and other forms of exploitation on vulnerable communities. I mean i'm not really chastizing them or anything, I often fall into the same thinking. Just with pesci i never truly felt like he was a good person. The fact that he went along with this plan at all already is a damning indictment of who he is, even if he was a coward at first.
