Contract Logistics Unit/Training Unit

My main job is working for a training company called Nysa. I lead basic weapons and tactic courses there. The money is good but its not contract combat money though. So every few months I jump into Black and do a 2 to 4 week stint riding ZT-90s.

I was in Black Faction for 2 contracts and have been out for 2 years. Probably wouldn't go back to a full time combatant role but I still love the company and still love serving the Mistress.

Most of the girls I train are pretty much faction rejects, phony tough who couldn't hack basic or didn't meet the criteria to get in.

The training package costs over CR100,000, that's just two weeks but it gets the recognition by Black Faction or Starcorp to work in security roles where just a few of the month long stints pays it off.

Most take out a service loan against the training as its one hell of a lot of money to come up with.

This means they sign up to a predestined daily rate which is often pretty low, like less than a SCU. Say CR1000 per day. They need to carry out over 100 days service as it builds interest also.

But that service date might not pop up for weeks or even months after finishing training, so they trap them in a debt cycle.

But this allows companies like Starcorp to hold massive numbers of Combat Units, ready to deploy on request from whoever is paying.

Anyways we tell them everything when they sign up, what they're expected to do, what can happen.

They don't care, its just about the money.

As with everyone.

I thought I read somewhere in past lore that the survival rate is about 80%? Good enough to lure them in but still a pretty dangerous job.

One wonders how many of these debt-slave trainees actually live long enough to pay off their loans..🤔😏
