Modern Self Portraits vs Old Times

Do you think it’s just because it’s in black and white and on a film camera and almost 100 we appreciate it. Does a digital self portrait from 2025 count as classy? Besides my silly face. I hope someone looks back in 100 years and sees an old photograph or a digital archive of some of my work and appreciates it. But then again I and all of us may be immortalized by Ai variants?

Since we all, through different outside factors, have different frames of reference, there is no objective way to define either. So do what you both do, because you do it well.

2025-01-12 23:41:45 +0000 UTCthe one on the right reminds me of my old medium format camera...but given my first digital cameras had only internal storage then into 3.5 inch floppy disk formats to current digital/cellphone formats, I'm sure they'll look back on yours as "old timey" one of these days...by the time you get old, we'll probably have digital contacts that save images straight into the brain or something....
