I'm someone who struggles feeling invested in shows, but this one kept me on my toes the entire time. Highly highly highly recommend. Feels very realistic and genuine.

But I enjoyed Black Knight with Kim Woobin, who does an amazing job! It´s set in a dystopian world that suffers from extensive air pollution. The people living in it depend on oxygen for survival so this became kind of the new payment method.

The plotlines are amazing and the acting is top tier! Park Eunbin (aka Attorney Woo) is totally different than her other roles in this. Seungyeon from the 2nd gen group KARA also stars in it plus Pentagon plays a boy group that one of the girls helps in season 2!

2024-01-21 13:52:07 +0000 UTCI'm not sure whether my suggestions will match your taste, and they're mostly a bit older, but these ones really stuck out to me!: #1: She Was Pretty - a romcom, but a real good one. It has what seems like a fairly standard plot, not light years away from True Beauty, but it's actually got some amazing twists that made it one of the most fun and memorable and engaging romcom dramas I can think of! #2: Mr Queen - I haven't actually watched this yet but by all accounts it sounds like great fun. #3: Saimdang, Memoirs of Colour - maybe too left of field, but a historical semifictional drama based around a famous painter, coupled with some contemporary mystery ( a tiny bit of comedy) drama. A bit heavier, but gorgeous cinematography if you like historical dramas and/or ink painting. #4: The King's Affection - the big draw first: It stars Park Eunbin from Attorney Woo, as a totally different character, but she is still magnificent. Admittedly a somewhat tropey disguised-as-the-opposite-gender-historical-palace-drama (what a detailed trope), but Eunbin actually sells it PRETTY BELIEVABLY in her disguise in comparison to 99% of cross-dress trope dramas. And though I can't guarantee since I didn't see it quite through to the end, at least the first interactions of the leads had a little less queerbaiting issue than these shows often have. Equal mystery and action drama to romance I think. #5: Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung - not a crossdressing palace drama, just a girl bossing her way into patriarchal palace culture drama. #6: The Best Hit - this is pretty old I think - and it's good if you want a slightly painful drama honestly, because behind the comedic send-up of the 90s, it's mixed up relationships and strong characters that are hard to root against or root for - but it was definitely quirky fun. #7: Hwarang - of course! - if you haven't seen it, it's star-powered and has a great plot! #8: Sunny - the one directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol. This is a film, but an honourable mention that I just want more people to see if they're in an area they can stream it in! It's a comedic drama with even some thriller elements amongst the coming of age ones, and it's an absolute masterpiece that I've only managed to see once. Highly recommend!

I promise it's so so good! I watched it with my girlfriend once, by myself once and got my brother to watch it too and he loved it as well. The characters are so good too, they are complex and character development happens which is great to see! It has action, mystery, big shocking reveals, funny moments to when things get too heavy and serious. This show has it all! 🙌🏼❤️

And then it takes new for the genre, unexpected turns. I'm gonna name few: 1 ." All of as are dead" . My absolute favorite. Takes place in high school. 2 . "Kingdom" Zombie apocalypse taking place in Joseon era Korea. Whaaat!? 3." Sweet home". Creepy, pretty, freshly filmed. A lot of new lore to classical zombie's. 4. "Duty after school" Hear me out , technically it's about aliens. But I really feel like they just rebuilding idea of flesh- eating monster into newer form . Also takes place in high school. Most characters is so unlikable, it's crazy how much you start to care about them closer to the end . If you manage to finish this one , it's gonna thank you by breaking your heart . I really hope you gonna have fun at least with one of them 🤞

Both of the protagonists (Grandfather and Grandson in the show) were fantastic. The plot sounds batshit crazy at first, but its actually a very clever, heartbreaking series. I also really loved the first season of "The alchemy of souls". Hwang Minhyun has a big role in it. You know, the Wanna One/Nuest Member you might recognise by now. He is playing a boy named Yul and oh boy, did he break my heart. But the whole cast is lovely! I super duber like the different friendship dynamics. And most of all: the wonderful resting murder face of the female protagonist. I too would die for her.

Maybe not a lot people know about it because of it having slightly smaller budget than others . One of the lead roles is played by SF9 member. ) Show revolves around extremely sensitive topic, so please check synopsis beforehand if you choose it‼️ I feel like you can fall in love with it or can't watch it with equal possibility.

If you want something more romance driven: W (still has some intensity in it though), A Business Proposal, and Hotel Del Luna. My top picks are All of Us Are Dead, Flower of Evil, and Strangers from Hell (I'm a thriller girly lol)
