true, sadly cube doesnt care at all about pantagon. i feel bad for hui and the members. the company doesnt give them anything at all, so ofc many people dont follow pantagon

2024-02-15 02:45:03 +0000 UTCi really enjoy watching this show again. the c vs k was always a little annyoing to me. i think they overdid it, it wasnt needed at all. and if they wanna do it,not to this extend. like who cares? the group is gonna have k and c members mixed anyway. 20 m of this ep is about k vs g. they could have cut all that (or maybe everything to 1-2 minutes). i rather would have liked to see something from the performances they cut this ep. they could have shown at least a little bit of it, not cut them entirely. the traines where we saw the full performances obv had a way better chance to get voted for, then the guys who had no screentime, alone performance wise. i would have been mad if i was on the show and they didnt show my audition at all. overall i liked watching this show, i also watched girls planet, that was a lot of fun (and stress) as well

About 0-star trainees who performed My house by 2PM, yes, there are that kinda trainees too. Some of them want to be an actor, but companies do some dance lessons too. or Just for Visual trainees.

After Shine became such a big hit, they obviously became a household name - EVERYONE knew the song and the name Pentagon. Hui, Dawn and Hyuna even made a trio and release a few songs (which were well receieved), but shortly after the whole scandal with Dawn and Hyuna happened, which was, as you can imagine the worse timing ever. Both of them were kicked out of CUBE and the company tried to push Pentagon with their next comeback Naughty Boy (similar vibes to Shine, but lowkey better), but their popularity slowly died out (honestly just so shitty for all the members…) I mean, Dawn was the face of the group along side Hui imo. Well, the scandal was pretty big and I think after a while CUBE slowly started to promote them less and less (who is surprised, CUBE SUCKS). It breaks my heart, because all Pentagon members are trying so hard to promote the group themselves, they haven’t given up yet. They are producing their own songs, being active on social media (I’m talking about like 2yrs ago, since I haven’t followed them for a long time). I think they are hoping for a second huge hit, and I’m telling you they ARE trying with everything they can, they participated in Kingdom and now Hui in Boys Planet. But there is only so much you can do, if the company doesn’t support you and with no funds and luck. Which is a shame because Pentagon is seriously one of the most talented groups EVER, I swear. They have the looks, the singers, the rappers and the performance part, but still they aren’t popular at all. I honestly could cry every time I think about their story. And sadly none of theirs songs are getting anywhere near as popular as Shine was (yet). Sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to explain the situation since you were so confused! (and also support Pentagon, they have amazing songs!!!!)

When he said its wasnt that expensive is because an instrument to musicians is seen as an extension of you and lots of people have connected to their instruments. Some people spend 10’s of thousands on violin and that can sometimes not include the bow and other attachments for it. Usually teachers have violins in the 7,000-10,000 range. I did some more digging and it seems after a certain period of time some people tend to go up to the 15,000 range.

When this first aired many people on tiktok pointed out that some of the trainee that were held in high positions that should’ve went to others skill wise and lots of people who were kamden fans pointed out to those who didn’t see his skills that he actually had showcased more than they presented to us.

People were creating YouTube channels just for Boys Planet and it didn't even air the first episode, but you got to know the contestants, their interactions, their foibles and general goofiness. People already had biases, so when it was time to vote, you bet people were ready! I was ready, I had my list!

It started out with pick your top however many (I forgot the first round) then it was down to 3 picks and the last show was pick your #1. It’s how Sunoo could go from #1 near constantly to producers choice in the end. He was MANY many peoples top 3, but when you have to pick your 1, you have to pick your 1. Maybe people thought he’d be fine and they had another they liked equally as well and so went with that other pick, but most people have a strong #1, and you won’t willing risk them not being in a group and lackadaisically pick someone else instead. They are your #1 for a reason and you’re going to fight to have them in because a team without your favorite just wouldn’t be what you want. He was well loved though and I’m so glad he’s in the group.

2023-12-22 07:05:52 +0000 UTCI have so many thoughts 😂. First, I was watching this live, so just if you are curious what the talk of the town was after this first episode (these are not spoilers! Just what people were talking about on the socials, reactions and all the things). There were basically 4 main topics: Jay Chang vocals, MattBin forever (please let them go on for a while together or we’re all boycotting), Hui (or rather, what’s going on with Pentagon?!?! Are they disbanding/ disbanded?) and Red/ Blue house. Those were the talk of the town 🙂. Speaking of Red/Blue house. You were asking about are these real trainees. Well… yes and no. Some really are but come from really small companies that can’t afford professional coaches, so they send them on these shows so they can get additional training with no real expectation they will debut with the final group. Others, like red/blue, are with companies, but are actually actors. Their agents send them to get different experiences and training that might benefit them in their acting careers (facial expressions etc), but what you get out of it is what you put into it. So don’t discount any of these 0-1 stars just yet. It’s a long show. I agree with the not enjoying seeing people fail. Especially in front of literally millions of people. That why I really don’t love this show until episode 3 1/2 +. But there are certainly redeeming moments in these first parts. I was chuckling sometimes with your comments. Unfortunately I can’t give details because I can’t find a way around spoilers, but you make a really great trick foreshadower. Like your comments were 100% on topic for future events, but in a completely misguided way. I loved it. 🫶🏻 As for eliminations. If I remember correctly, they are episodes 5,7,9 and 10. And they are extra long. So be prepared for that. Thanks for the reaction. I was getting worn out from this show, but maybe it’s been long enough since the last time I went through it I was enjoying it more than usual. You were fun to hang with as always too. Thank you.
