Today, we finally meet the mysterious lady who reigns over the deepest darkness — Anat, the ruler of the Abyss.

Unlike the monsters and fiends that serve her, Anat faces the player in what she calls a fair duel — her speed always match the player’s exactly.

Anat gifts Mark of Gluttony, a direct embodiment of insatiable desire. Her Apostles spread this gift as well, but only through borrowed power — they can brand the player with the mark once per battle, using the will of their dark god. The Mark doubles all Fullness gained by the player. What seems a blessing quickly turns into a curse, as indulgence accelerates into ruin.

Unlike her servants, however, Anat herself can apply the Mark infinitely, stacking layer upon layer until greed consumes the adventurer entirely. Of course, she won’t always choose this intent every turn — for Anat delights in drawing out the struggle, savoring the descent into excess.

When the player finally defeats her — after enduring 400 HP worth of divine torment — Anat’s veil will be torn apart by her master, revealing her true form as the Lord of the Abyss. In this second phase, she will wield without restraint the full power she once bestowed upon her creations: Unseeable, Seducer, Enchantment, Counter Spell and Desire Leech — the complete authority of corruption itself.
