Update Preview – 2025.10.31 The Prey’s Past 2
Added 2025-11-01 00:15:40 +0000 UTCToday, we continue exploring the Huntress’s cards.
As a born hunter, the desire for blood and the thrill of the chase roar within her heart — a hunger that turns both outward and inward. This is reflected not only in her ability to harm her enemies, but also in her willingness to hurt herself in pursuit of power.

Whether through Vulnerable, Vigor, or other means, once a certain amount of total damage is dealt, her card Disembowal grants additional rewards — a brutal manifestation of that primal craving.

Sacrificial Rites, in contrast, trades her own blood for divine protection.
Yet even as the Church fights desperately to halt the Abyss’s encroachment upon the mortal world, corruption has already taken root — and even within the Church itself, purity is no longer absolute. Today’s new mechanic is Corrupt. When a character’s Weight falls below a certain threshold, their holy arts remain pure, traditional, and sacred. But once the caster themselves are no longer pure, those same miracles become twisted by dark power.

For example, Dispel Evil normally causes all enemies to lose 6 Strength until the end of their turn. However, when cast under the Corrupt state, the Huntress herself is also recognized as an “evil” target — and each act of purification only leaves her hungrier, more desperate, and closer to the Abyss she once fought to destroy.
Next week, we shall dive into the deepest of darkness, and witness the lord that consumes all.
