Today, we unveil a truly special enemy from the Abyss — The Devourer of Desire.

This creature is one of the few native beings of the Abyss, occasionally slipping through fractures between realms to haunt the mortal world. It feeds on human desire — the more cravings it consumes, the stronger it becomes.

In gameplay terms, whenever any character gains fullness, the Devourer gains 1 Strength.
But why emphasize any character, you ask? After all, even a Devourer must feed —— it has already captured a mortal to serve as its living meal, endlessly feeding her through the Abyss’s strange magic, where mere imagination can conjure food.

Once the Devourer suffers enough damage, it retaliates by swallowing the foe that hurt it, trapping them within, and spitting out its prey — the mortal maiden it once kept imprisoned. From that moment, the player will control the prey instead, until it too takes enough damage to break the cycle.

The prey has her own unique deck, drawing partially from the Blessed Champion and an unrevealed character .

The Abyss twists even the act of battle into temptation and metamorphosis. Next time, we’ll dive deeper into the prey’s cards.
