After years of relentless mining drained its resources, the mine's owners abandoned it, leaving the hollowed tunnels to be claimed by demi-humans, monsters, and creatures twisted by the cave's magic.
In the cavernous depths where oversight vanished, these hollows became a sanctuary for fugitives escaping justice, gradually evolving into a sprawling undercity that gathers outlaws, cultists, and sinners of all stripes.
Following subterranean waterways deeper into this labyrinth lies the Mistmire - a fungal swamp choked with hallucinogenic mists. This primordial ecosystem teems with bioluminescent mushrooms, skittering insects, tentacled growths, and covens of witches.
For years, the Mistmire was believed endless until daring adventurers breached its heart, claiming to have found the Golden Kingdom of Phrygia - a legendary civilization lost for centuries. The tale of Phrygia, ruled by the Golden-touched King Midas, has captivated generations through fireside stories. Yet its abrupt collapse and disappearance remain one of history's greatest enigmas. Though rumors of the Golden Kingdom's resurgence have drawn hordes of treasure-seekers, few who enter the fungal mists ever glimpse its fabled gilded spires... and fewer still return to tell the tale.
Deep within the cavernous bowels of this underworld pulses a malevolent magic - ancient, hungry, and corrupting. Its baleful influence warps dungeon creatures into gluttonous aberrations, their forms bloating grotesquely as they devour anything within reach. Adventurers too feel its siren call. This is no ordinary dungeon descent, but a plunge into an ever-shifting organism of greed made manifest. Those who survive initial encounters often become part of the cycle.
The game currently have 4 Layers. The Fifth Layer, or the Abyss, shall be revealed in later updates.
