Patreon did an oopsie
Added 2019-03-20 05:22:29 +0000 UTCI don't usually post takes on here, but what in the unholy hell is this?

Yep, that's a 60% relative increase just to have all the features you currently get on Patreon for only 5%. Oh, but don't worry, current creators get to keep their current features. Who knows how long that will last, though. BTW, the rates listed in the post are before they subtract an additional fee for transaction costs. Yeah.
Out of curiosity, how many of you all would be willing to migrate to SubscribeStar or some other alternative if we were to pack up shop and move? I probably won't unless it's an outstanding majority that show interest, but I'm just wondering.
At least there's always the chance that it gets instantly reverted like the last time they tried pulling a fast one, lol.

Also expect a new batch of voice talent soon. Now I can label this as an announcement. :^)
In all seriousness, I put out a casting call and have been very pleased with some of what I've heard thus far. The plan is to cast them for a comic dub or two and then see if they're interested in story dubs. "Worst" case scenario, you end up with a couple of comic-exclusive VAs.

Eh, they are a hosting platform. They didn't do the work, but they host the work which costs money. So they take a cut to compensate. It is a balance of taking enough to keep the site running and pay people, while also not taking to much to have creatives flee to other sites. If they get enough negative feedback I am sure they would be willing to tweak things to keep the creatives on the site.
