Yeah fr, fan wars are the stupidest thing ever. Like apparently Stay & Atiny are always beefing, but have u seen these boys? Binnie & Wooyoung are literal besties & Skz are the fanboys of Kingdom. They always geek out over the others, its so wholesome.

So it's not really that serious. You know that kind of character who wants to be so flashy? That is what he is trying to portray. When it comes to iKON, they really joined this survival show for content purposes. Like they said, they joined because of their fans. Their previous company didn't give them much content for a long period of time. Apart from the competition, their fans actually love this show because they were able to watch them.

I'm a Melody and wasn't familiar with most of the other groups going into Kingdom but I really enjoyed all of the different styles brought to the show! In regards to your comments about the two missing members, I do think it changed vocal arrangements, largely in terms of lack of harmony/backing vocals. Even with the thinned out arrangements it was really fun to see BtoB step outside of their comfort zone a bit!

This performance was soooo good. I am curious about the other performances. For me both caption colors are okay,

2023-04-14 01:32:03 +0000 UTCYes the other 2 members of BtoB are also amazing vocalists! And Hyunsik is also their main songwriter and a super talented all around musician. And also my bias hehe 😉 he has a lovely, warm, lower register that adds a lot of balance to the group. Sungjae is the maknae and also just a powerhouse of a vocalist. He’s actually kind of the face of the group as he’s considered very handsome, but has a zany personality that has helped him become a variety show star and often a host, as well as being an amazing actor. He has stared in a lot of very popular Kdramas including “Goblin” BtoB literally went on this show pretty much for the fans. While their 2 youngest members were finishing uo service it meant BtoB hadn’t been super active for a few years. Plus corona. It was a way for them to show more performances for Melody’s who really miss them

They promoted as the temporary unit BTOB4U while their younger members served so while of course Sungjae and Hyunsik bring amazing vocal flavor to the song, the other members can hold the fort espescially since Minhyuk is also a talented singer. You don't get to see it on the show but there is a behind the scenes video while the guys are practicing for a round of the show Hyunsik came and surprised them on a vacation from his enlistment.

2023-04-12 23:55:21 +0000 UTCOhh you touched on the first big MNET scandal with Kingdom....this round is when you'll see there was a discrepancy in budget limits for each performance. Three groups were told a much higher budget than the other three. This caused so much drama and hate towards groups that used more money (when it's not their fault...it's MNET being scummy and " not communicating things properly " so they claimed - we know they were just stirring the pot) from fans of other groups. It's sad because one of my ult groups I think disliked being on Kingdom due to the drama and they kind of talk about this whole experience negatively. I think the best thing that came from it for them was relationships with other idols in their eyes. I'm grateful for so many amazing performances from this show and falling in love with new groups, but man, MNET is just shitty and has to bring down the experience.

There are times some groups do really well and most reactors do not love their performance as much and it was not until I went on youtube and watched the full performance that I realized how much the cut aways can take away immersion and pace/build up of the performance. I'm torn because I do love the cut aways and seeing reactions, but I did learn that was such a big factor in a few of these performances not "wowing" reactors as much and then wondering why they ranked so much higher than other group etc.

2023-04-12 18:37:17 +0000 UTCDon't feel pressured to react any certain way please! I think natural, authentic reactions are 100% appreciated and it's what I enjoy the most. It's understandable to not know everyone on this show - I think most viewers were in the same boat. And yeah, the 2nd host (Yunho) I think leaves after this or the third episode - it's early on. He was not following the strict COVID protocols they put in place at the time for everyone's' safety from what I read and went out to a club or bar or something while filming this show and was caught.

I love it soooooooo much and I really enjoy Killing Me as well. So having the mashup and whatnot was right up my alley! There were other groups that had a bigger scale when it came to performance but my absolute love for Love Scenario beats anything else lol.

I can't remember exactly which episode but he leaves at some point (is not replaced with anyone) - this is why they aren't showing any close-ups of his face, they edited him out as much as possible. You said Seungmin reminded you of Wonpil - coincidentally he's a huge Day6 fan and has done some covers. You'll see Eunkwang called Director in the subs because he was actually appointed one of the directors at Cube. About them cutting away from performances to people's reactions - they did upload 'clean' versions of the performances to youtube so you can watch them through with no interruptions. Sometimes the interruptions and re-playing of key moments is annoying so it's nice to have the option there to watch the full performance.

2023-04-12 09:05:21 +0000 UTCPeniel's name is pronounced Peh-Neal (or Peh-Kneel), as long as you get the short Peh sound, you should be fine. Also, you were right about one of the hosts leaving - it just doesn't happen until the 4th episode, if I remember correctly.
