2023-04-05 16:03:56 +0000 UTCI dont know alot of girlgroup competition shows (or competition shows for that matter) other than queendom and the produce series, in which im not a huge fan of those because the drama mnet tries to create between the participants is very boring in my opinion, but some iconic groups have been formed in those shows, so maybe you could give it a go, you could also watch Second World, which has rappers of alot of girlgroups face off in a singing competition, I watched it and it was fun lol, you already know a bunch of the participants but there will also be some new faces from more unfamiliar groups.

2023-04-02 18:57:43 +0000 UTC1:36:06 omfg Austin 🤦♀️ I didn’t know how old she was but as soon as you said in her 40s… I knew there’s no way she’s that old… I literally just laughed until I cried… not you saying she looks like she could be yeonjuns mom … oh man I just had a feeling that was going to be an oopsy lmao but just an honest mistake! I love how sleeq went from being avoided like the plague in the earlier days.. and now everyone loves her and she’s always making them laugh… she’s super chaotic … they all are and so much fun to watch! Also ailee was doing more than keeping up with hyo and jiwoo… she gave so much stage presence and her movements were so fluid it was insane… but she looked great out there with them… I also loved how she was the one calling out ti fans for some response ya know. However the other guys were good.. but I don’t think they were better than the girls performance on that one… that song was epic.. the dancing… oh had to rewind at one point bc I thought I saw something.. but then thought.. there’s no way that just happened…. But ailee was doing their sexy dance moves walking forward and she just started winking and sticking her tongue out at the audience lol. Had me shook.. but yeh they killed it and I think the song was pretty catchy

But ppl almost always miss that one for whatever reason and hearing the boys sing with female voices is very rare .. so it’s one I think is special bc underrated. But then “if you” he sang in the second round is the one you heard a bit of.. it’s beyond gorgeous and crazy hearing jk almost mixing in part of each bigbang members vocal style but still sounding like JK… but BTS were not known for vocals back then.. they got a lot of hate… and this was around when jk turned 20, became an adult lol so he went on for those reasons.. but vocally you’re going to love these I think. I still think it would be awesome for you to see how sexy “coming of age ceremony l dance he did that some idols do when they’re turning 20 to the same song and some of the same choreo… it’s iconic!!! I’ll leave the link. I’ve always wanted to watch like girls planet 999 and produce 101 but after all the scandals and whatever maybe not a good idea. Still hope you’ll check out the hybe Japanese group &team and their show to make it into the group called “the howling” bc these guys are insanely good vocalists and crazy good dancers with so much charisma… they barely debuted like 3-4 months ago and they look like seasoned vets :..

It would really be nice to see some SNSD content 😊 But if you want to watch a show from the produce series, rather than watching GP999, I suggest you watch the 3rd season of Produce 101 also known as Produce 48 because the girl group that came out from that series, I*Zone, was arguably the most successful group within that franchise. I think you'll also relate a bit to them because you have reacted to Lesserafim and IVE which are 2 of the top 4th gen girl groups, some members of Izone are currently on those groups. Their popularity from Produce 48 to Izone helped them have a steady fanbase for their current groups. Despite the backlash towards the produce series because of the rigging issue, Izone members are actually doing pretty well in the industry. 😊 I'm curious Sir Austin, would you enjoy dance competitions too? There's a good one from south korea and most of the idols were hooked to it. It's called Street Woman Fighter incase you'll be interested 😉

It's kinda funny rewatching because both Hyo and Loopy keep mentioning and complimenting each other here when they were asked about the opposition,I think it might be fate,xd.

2023-04-01 23:07:02 +0000 UTCHey I’ve been asking you to react to jungkooks two performances on “the king of masked singer” which is a duet called “I’m in love” with a female contestant and it’s so underrated and under appreciated.. it’s so sad so few support these gorgeous performances .. his vocals and their harmonies omg!!! But also the second one is “if you” by bigbang but it’s a gorgeous ballad especially by JK omg .. it has to be the 4 min performance that kinda cuts weird for the video just to avoid copyright issues so sometime it’s a blue screen your looking at… but not all the time and honestly his voice is all that matters.. but I realized that Yooa from oh my girl is actually one of the panel of judges for when he sings “if you” maybe for the other song too but can’t remember… but yeh we hear her opinion of his singing and it was cute. Thought you’d enjoy that too … and maybe convince you to do it lol or the jungkook singing on vlive by ida s that has two compilations one has a few different lives compiled… and the other is just his whole room concert where he got up and danced to the choreo of all the songs in his see through pajamas… you will love that one lol his voice and hearing his raw live adlibs and harmonies over songs is heaven on earth!!!! But also the vlive he did the day after the festa dinner where he sang in his kitchen is insane to see how he was talking about singing a little different or something I duno it’s confusing .. but just a request… I’m happy with everything you do. You’re the best ! ☺️

2023-04-01 20:07:31 +0000 UTCKorea has a lot of singing competitions, but they’re often ballads and/or covers. Maybe for a singing competition you could try MNET’s “Breakers”. It’s a show about a group of different singer/songwriters/producers and SHINee’s Key is the host. Or maybe "The Fan." Now if you wanted a show of only singing there are a million of those. They often include unknowns/regular citizens or celebs who don’t sing for living as a surprise (like a model or chef etc). Produce 101 was just SO BIG that it basically became the blueprint for several years. I feel like it has to be on the list at some point. I can't think of a show besides seasons 1 and 3 of produce or Girls Planet that are especially for female contestants though. There are shows like The Unit, The Fan, and MixNine, but they're all co-ed.
