Hey there, folks. Today I'm bringing you February's first game status update.
First, let's talk about the cover image, which is early in Trevor's upcoming Grind'm hookup. I'm previewing this CG in particular because normally when I do renders with mirrors they come out with a lot of noise, and denoising tends to smooth out all the details. Magically, that didn't happen here! I'm also super happy with the clothes draping. It all came together into a nice little tease...
I'm gonna share the to-do list for this Grind'm up below, but first I want to share something I've been working on. I get asked a lot how to unlock certain CGs and also how to find scenes in the game. I always take the time to answer, so I figured why not just save time by writing it out for everyone.
As such, while waiting for preview renders of CGs to check for lighting etc., I've been picking at writing a guide. Since I want to present it in a nice way, I've been teaching myself InDesign to make it into a nifty PDF. I'm sharing a sample of it today, which has the CG and relationship guide for Matt.

You can download the sample by clicking here. It goes pretty in-depth on the "ideal" path for Matt, including details about how to unlock later content that you may otherwise miss.
I've already laid out guides for some other guys, but I don't know when it'll all be complete—it's not taking priority over the game itself. But I think it's shaping up to be a cool little supplement, especially once I add in details like game mechanics and other behind the scenes stuff to help you plan out playthroughs.
As a side effect of getting InDesign, I now have Photoshop proper. I've been using an image program called GIMP since the beginning, but discovering that certain aspects I've been doing entirely by hand can be done with a single click in Photoshop has been eye opening. Editing CGs has become much, much easier.
