I'm happy you guys went with your guts for a change. And for the TWD crowd that wants to watch Sho and Vince react to their favorite show for 24 hrs, maybe take something from this film.

If it google “The Truman Show” it’s labeled as Comedy/Sci-Fi, wiki labels it psychological comedy-drama. “The Cable Guy” is given a Thriller/Comedy and Black Comedy label. It’s definitely a far cry from his other slap stick comedy.

Movies like Fight Club, Office Space, American Beauty, Matrix, and Truman Show really capture that feeling.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, it really is an amazing movie. Jim Carrey is a brilliant man, and what you said is perfect and true; it's not The Truman Show without Jim Carrey. To the other thing you both were saying: man, you're right, a lot of this seems relatable to things today... Not just people getting on camera, but so many seem to be wanting this artificial lifestyle. Quite honestly, I've always felt I could relate to this movie on a personal level. (No, I don't think I am a TV show... I hope not! I don't want someone watching me from their bathtub! LOL) I come from a family and an area where everyone seems to be very 'happy' and fake almost 24/7. I could never relate to it all of my life, never felt the love. I'm disabled, so I can't work or drive, I come from a family with very low income. The very few IRL friends I have want to stay here. and I've been stuck in this town for almost all of my life, never had enough to travel. So I feel like something's always keeping me here. Drives me crazy. I have made contact with people out there around the world though, people who encourage me to get out, my best friends who I chat with every day. They are my Sylvia. Someday it's going to happen, and I will meet them and start my real life that I've always wanted. and when that day comes, I will get to say: "In case I don't see ya... good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight!" , bow to the camera and leave this dome forever. XD Anyway, thank you so much for sharing this. :) Looking forward to seeing more Jim Carrey reactions from you guys! The Mask is another one from my childhood that I really enjoyed, so that would be my next recommendation. But all of his movies are so good! He has brought so much joy and laughter to the world.
