Qui Gon's death was actual plot. Without this one incident, Anakin does not become Vader. Dooku lost his... cool, stormtroopers lost their... helmets to Yoda, A stab and pull is fine because the wound doesn't cauterize, it melts and leaves a hole, not a scar.

Just to be clear here the scene is stupid but I stopped to apply biology / physics from the real world in superhero,action or horror movies a long time ago.

2023-09-27 21:42:23 +0000 UTCThe problem wasn't Disney in this case, the problem was Ike Perlmutter. He didn't think that movies with female or black leads would make money. Look at how she was potrait in her first appearances until Civil War (Winter Soldier was an exception because the Russo's knew how to write her character). After Feige took over in 2015 this changed but there wasn't any timeslot for a Black Widow movie without disturbing the road to Endgame. They started planning for the last two movies in 2014 so the road was (unfortunately) set after that date.

She could've had a 3 movie scenario between the events of Winter soldier and Civil War with her and Hawkeye teaming up. Couldve also had other Avengers making appearances. Too bad Disney didnt think it would be successful.

Also, while I appreciate the more Cap2 & 3 style of action I'm not convinced it 100% lived up to it. However it was great seeing Johansson one last time and Pugh was brilliant as Yelena.

That end credit scene isnt justification to me. Black Widow shouldve had a movie right after Cap Civil War or even after Cap Winter Soldier when Hydra fell. Watching it after Endgame feels hollow since we know she died.

Some of that stuff bothered me during my initial viewing, but not so much this time. I may be in the minority, but I thought the What If...? series was one of the strongest entries in Phase Four so I'm interested to see your reaction to it.

Makes them better able to do things like land on their feet from high up and fight. Also dracovs daughter was mentioned in avengers when loki was trying to get in her head from the cage to prove her ledger is gushing red and saving Barton won't save her

In the comics he also happens to eventually become "The Red Hulk".

But then the movie drags on for a bit, and Taskmaster was underwhelming. I do like the family aspect. The “parents” were the best part for me and had some good laughs. I actually like that final free-falling sequence with all the debris even though it’s unrealistic lol. I think a 6 rating is fair.

But I thought the stories were incredible, and better than most of the movies. And the animation was fantastic. Some of the stories were so good that I wanted 2 hour movies of them. Especially the Doctor Strange episode. Now I just want MORE animated Marvel projects.

2023-09-25 16:58:24 +0000 UTCI thought the movie was fine ..lot of comic folks didn't like the gender swap of taskmaster which is one of the reasons people trashed it....only thing that took me out a bit was the unrealistic action scenes at times. Natasha falling from high spaces without getting hurt and like Shoshanna said about nobody getting hit with the debris as their falling but otherwise a solid 6 outta 10

When I first joined this channel, I tried to get this watch to happen after Homecoming, which it ends up being a much stronger film, but I absolutely understand the reasons to go in release order. But, yeah, much better film than people give it credit for. The action scenes are solid, the new characters (Yelena, Red Guardian) are great, and I really wasn't put off by the change they made to Taskmaster...I really think there's potential there.

The villian was a bit too goofy for my taste (the smelly superpower), and the story overall was just meh. With that being said, Yelena is easily the highlight of the movie for me and I can't wait for you guys to see more of her in the future!

This was the first MCU movie to come out post lockdown, and a LOT of fans felt it didn’t live up to the anticipation of having to wait nearly two years. It’s of course set between Civil War and Infinity War, and should’ve come out during that time in real life.
