The implication is really just "here's his real name and you're an absolute basement dweller for thinking it was anything more."

If you have seen it, there's a bit more of a 'holy fuck, what are they doing?' moment that the show ultimately doesn't follow. If you haven't, the story still plays out, only now it's a 'wait, that's not right' situation. In fact, Darcy's reaction in the show is pretty much what someone who hasn't seen DoFP would share. (tried to dance around spoilers in the above...heh)

2023-08-08 14:41:07 +0000 UTCThere was a “what if” comic preceding Wanda’s breakdown in the comics and it was all about how it could have been avoided if anybody had just checked in on Wanda after her tragedies. Kind of sad to relate to the McU because it’s obvious nobody was checking on her after Endgame and she was just turned out on her own.
