Hey Rangers, Shout-out to *FLICK FREAKS* for requesting this show! Hope you guys enjoy!!

DAREDEVIL - EPISODE 1

Comments

Its interesting how alot of people don’t know that daredevil has super powers. But the waste that got into his eyes, did indeed give him super senses. There are definitely storys in the comics where he looses these powers, but even when he does he learns to be just as deadly with his normal senses.

Are you going to continue watching the Daredevil show soon?

Mighty Warrior

Yes, its its own seperate universe, it was said by kevin feige that the netflix shows are not cannon. The new daredevil show is not connected with the old one, hes not the same person, just a similar variant, if you watched the show, then watched his appearance in she hulk, its quite obvious that its just a different, yet similar variant. Think of it as Michael keaton returning as batman for The Flash. Its not the '89 batman, just a very similar version from another universe played by the same actor because he was good for the role and a fan favorite, just like Charlie cox.

J. Jeter

An average human speaks at a level of 70 decibels, and the lowest we can hear is at a level of 20 decibels. In comparison, Daredevil can hear at a level of seven decibels, allowing him to hear someone's heartbeat from over 20 feet away.

Simon Howard

These people aren't even talking in good faith. There is no reason to say this isn't MCU connected after all we know in 2023. You can express your disappointment with how little DD interacted with phases 1-3 and still consider it loosely or largely canon. There are no plot holes if its canon and thats good enough me and most people.

Feel free to do an internet google search. The information is all there. Articles from as far back as 2015 way before Disney plus was made. You dont have to take my word for it. The evidence is all there.

Sure, Marvel can retroactively list the Netflix shows as being part of the MCU since they are now moving forward with some or all of the characters in future MCU storylines. Sure, they can do that. But the fact that characters in those shows couldn't use the names "Thor" (the guy with the hammer...) or "Hulk" (the big green guy...ugh) or show Stark/Avengers Tower in any of the skyline shots or any other sensible connective tissue makes it abundantly clear that those shows do not take place in the MCU. Sorry.

Mitchell Smilie

It is set in the MCU universe actually. I just did a google search to double check and it was verified.

SavageDiplomat

It's not in the MCU

Gaël Twité

This show is technically in the saMe MCU universe. Its More of a local scene though. Not world ending like the Avengers.

SavageDiplomat

Marvel has a vast catalog of characters and genres....what makes this show good is how grounded it is to street level affairs and the seedy underbelly of organized crime. Where the avengers deal with superhuman/ alien threats ..u have heroes/vililante types that deal with everyday crimes and criminals. U still need those types

Rashad Walker

Each episode is better than the last imo. Season 2 is insane as well.

Chase Taylor

Daredevil does eventually show up in some MCU projects. But when the show was made, it was not connected officially to the MCU.

Chase Taylor

He was listening to her heartbeat to determine the truth yes.

JPShadow

Great show but y’all should check out the maze runner trilogy it’s so underrated bet you guys would love it much love for your channel and patreon

“The Incident” that keeps getting referenced is the alien attack on NYC from the first Avengers movie.

fax were going to tell them when we get to that. things like the xmen and the other spiderman movies and even into the spiderverse. stuff like that will be known. its also great the re watching daredevil at this moment.

ImTorchhh

You guys should watch the Blade trilogy. That is the first marvel movie that kind of started it all followed by x-men, spider-man, etc...Blade is so dope, I think you guys would love him. Please watch Blade!

Super Saiyan God

I’m posting this message to everyone else who is using their monthly film picks, like me, for MCU films. We need to be mindful of shows & non MCU films where things are going to start becoming vital. Like I can’t remember how far we got in the non MCU Spider-Man films. I feel maybe they should watch Amazing Spider-Man around the same time as Civil War. Also when we get to shows like Wanda Vision or Loki, we will need to halt viewing of MCU “films” until entire seasons of shows have been watched.

Flick Freaks

this is the best mcu show out there and its not even close

Jeremiah

YES. Holy fuck yes. Daredevil and one of the other Netflix shows that you'll learn about are easily the best TV Marvel put out. I'm As pointed out in the comment above... this show technically does take place in the MCU, you'll hear a couple references to the alien attack from the 1st Avengers movie, but other than that, the Netflix shows kind of live in their own little world in New York.

The MCU relationship is complicated. When Netflix released these shows, while still under Disney, they were separate from Marvel Studios. Netflix wanted them to be part of the MCU but Kevin Feige who runs the MCU disavowed these shows. So in a nutshell, the movies ignored these shows for a long time, but the shows have some references to the films, usually subtle ones. After Netflix lost the right to produce the shows however, the MCU has now started to acknowledge the Netflix marvel shows and a few characters (I won't spoil which ones) have shown up in newer MCU movies. So the answer I guess is yes, these shows are technically part of the MCU, but they are mostly insulated to their own little corner and there is very little crossover (so far)
