G'day mates!
How is everyone? I hope you had a good Father's Day weekend, however that looked for you :) Poor Ben has had two Fathers Days in a row with sickie sick kids. Our kids have a nasty virus that is lasting forever, so a lot of long days and nights over here. Sick in the summer is a bummer! Despite it being kind of a womp womp day, Ben is an amazing dad and teammate and everyone's favorite, seriously we all just follow him around!
This week we have Road Warrior, Charlie Wilson's War (even more excited after seeing the cover and cast) and finally Born on the Fourth, I prom prom'd it last summer for this week. Still to come in the next bit is The Aviator, another Pollception, a surprise reaction, POTA with Mark Wahlberg, Ben's Birthday Poll, The Pianist and TRIVIA NIGHT!
For Trivia #9, we are throwing it back to the 90's! Just for a theme, not really the questions if you know what I mean! The questions are comprised, in majority from reactions from 2025 but are not exclusive to reactions from 2025. Some deep dive and skill testing questions go back a little further. I guess you better go rewatch all of my reactions ;) I can't wait to see you there, it is always a great night!

Here again, is my weekly reminder to enter this month's Pick-a-flick. Make sure to submit any day in June for the drawing in July. All the info and submitting is right HERE!
I also wanted to let you know that I will be taking a week off in July when we go to Canada to visit my parents. I will keep you updated on exact dates but wanted to give you a heads up-there will most likely still be YT edits going up though!
Ok guys thanks for being the Jewels of the Nile (still need to watch that one)
Love you mucho
Cassie

2025-06-22 20:14:23 +0000 UTCHi David, there is no stated plan not to grant The Road Warrior a YouTube edit and premiere. And it would be very unlikely decision to not have a YouTube premiere for such a potentially high views release. The first Mad Max performed well on YouTube and likely The Road Warrior will outperform the first installment considering its reputation as one of the best in the franchise.

2025-06-22 19:36:05 +0000 UTCJust a heads up, those movies where you're about to switch off after the flick, as the credits roll, but you stick around cos the final song catches you out! Stuff like Grand Torinos epic ending song by Jamie Cullen, for example, which he blasted out at the BBC Proms that year. WELL I found another one! SO go check it out even if you haven't had the pleasure of seeing the movie. Go find on Youtube : "Love Was My Alibi" - written by Rusell Crowe himself. From his movie "Water Diviner".

2025-06-22 14:57:22 +0000 UTCQuick Question guys - is the Road Warrior gonna get a YT edit and be uploaded? Or is that gonna be Patreon Only? Just asking cos I live subsistance and really liked Cassies Fury Road redepmtion arc (from hating trailer to loving movie) and wanted to see her opinion of the BEST Mad Max movie (2nd).

2025-06-19 16:15:05 +0000 UTCI suck at trivia big time. "The questions are comprised, in majority from reactions from 2025." That's good because I have watched 67 of the 70 full reactions in 2025.

2025-06-18 02:58:23 +0000 UTCBeyond Thunderdome is a much better than Mad Max II. You just can't beat Tina Turner. Born On The 4th of July is a all about Revolution and Social Justice of the 60's. The Vietnam War. If you want to see what the Vietnam War was really like here You could watch The Ken Burns Documentary which is long or here is Paint Its Black a video by The Rolling Stones set to the Vietnam War. https://youtu.be/EyYI6lLRYxM?si=7tEYOkCsDyUEWaFr For the first time Americans realized they could not trust their government. After Bobby was killed, who wanted to end the war. Tricky Dick did nothing but lie to the American people. That's been proven with old White House Tapes. So as a child of the 1960's . Born On The 4th Of July is my kind of movie. This looks like a better week D&D - no comment my gf had no idea what it was. The Mask Of Zorro - both of us have absolutely no comment. Yeah I have seen all 3 of these. Charlie Wilson's War Tom Hanks Julia Roberts political drama. OMG the trailer just dropped for I Know What You Did Last Summer remake. Although really you can't beat Jennifer Love Hewitt in the 97 version I saw that in the theater in Highschool. Wait JLH is in this? WTF? Scary but not too Scary.

2025-06-18 00:47:44 +0000 UTCYes! The Road Warrior finally. My personal favorite Mad Max film. Don't stop there. The next one is Beyond Thunderdome which I feel is kinda under appreciated. I'm probably in the minority but I kinda like the original Mad Max trilogy from the 20th century better than the Fury Road film which I thought was a little overhyped. Though in all fairness I have not watched Fury Road since 2015. Maybe I need to rewatch it again.

2025-06-17 23:43:52 +0000 UTCI don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone face so much sickness as your family. It’s incredible. It seems you face a sickness at least once a month.

2025-06-17 23:37:36 +0000 UTCWoo Hoo! The Road Warrior (1981). Can’t wait! The Aviator (2004) too. I’m hoping this film might spark a little interest in Classic Films… at least for a little while. :-) I’ve only ever seen Born on the Fourth of July (1989) once. I will finally revisit it again with your reaction. This will be interesting, and that’s all I’ll say. I see other people guessing what the Surprise Reaction is… and I have an idea. But I’m not gonna say. I’m stuperstitious like that. ;-)
